Temperature Checking with T-Stick™
 An easy way to
confirm that your dishwasher wash water temperature is in the safe 160°F
range is to use a T-Stick.
The T-Stick™ turns black
if safe water temperature of 160°F has been reached at the utensil
surface. May be placed anywhere in
dishwasher rack. T-Sticks actually provide
a better reading, since dishwasher temperature gauges measure manifold
inlet temperatures only, and T-Sticks™ measure at the utensil. T-Stick in fork holder
verifies minimum water temperature of 160°F wherever they are placed in
the washer. Suggestion: Place T-Stick
and fork holder between plates or trays in rack to prevent high pressure
water from dislodging T-Stick, or a plastic clothes pin can be used to
hold the T-Stick in place inside the dishwasher / traywasher
Some HACCP programs require
documentation of dishwasher temperature. You can record the results by
simple stapling the T-Stick™ directly to our HACCP form.
