The bi-metal is best suited for temperature
measurement in
liquids and soft solids, or foods with a high liquid content because liquids transfer heat
easily and quickly. For frozen food temperature measurement, an ice pick should be used to make
a hole in the product then insert the bi-metal.
Accurate readings are only possible when the tip is
inserted to the "dimple'' (2 1/4'') on the shaft. The dimple indicates the temp. sensing
area. Always clean and sanitize the probe needle between readings.
