Use when making "quats" solutions in hard water, or for verifying more concentrated solutions for sanitizing non-food-contact surfaces such as walls and floors or boots and cleaning tools.

Some operations treat processing equipment with high "quats" concentrations first (~800 PPM), then follow with a plain rinse or final application of a normal "quats" concentration solution.
